|
| The Rocky Mountain Connection is a sports massage team composed of various sports massage therapists in Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Utah, dedicated to providing excellence in sports massage to professional and recreational athletes. |
 |
| |
|
| Our objective is to help boost performance, potential, psychological factors, prevent injuries through massage (pre-event), and to help the athlete facilitate faster recovery from strenuous events, and previous injuries. This allows the athlete to achieve their maximum long and/or short term goals. |

|
| What is a Sports Massage Therapist?
Besides having skills that enable him/her to soothe sore muscles, relieve tension, stroke, lift, and roll every muscle of the body, the therapist is also acutely aware of which muscles are stressed by a particular sport, what areas of the muscles are subject to micro trauma, can figure out what muscles are injured by which movements are painful or limited, and can give up-to-date information on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and training.
Sports Massage Can Help!
- IMPROVE circulation and mobility to injured tissue, thus maintaining an optimal state of nutrition, relaxation, flexibility, and range of motion.
- ENABLE the athlete to recover more quickly from myofascial injury with less likelihood of chronic problems developing.
- REDUCE muscle soreness and chronic strain patterns, thus allowing a quicker return to maximum training levels.
- PROVIDE a psychological boost to the athlete consistent with his/her commitment to peak performance.
